Leon dogs compete in Spanish Agility Championship

Eight athletes from the Leonidogs Agility Club, based in Leon, are participating in the Spanish Agility Championship held in Arcos de la Frontera, Cadiz. The competitors are accompanied by various dog breeds, including Border Collies, Spanish Water Dogs, and Cocker Spaniels.

Participants are competing across multiple categories, including junior, adult, 30, 40, 50, and 60. Notably, 15-year-old Andrea Antón will compete in both the junior and adult categories, where she will face her father, Alejandro Antón. The championship tests canine intelligence and speed as dogs navigate obstacle courses consisting of tunnels, jumps, and weaves without leashes or collars.

Leonidogs Agility Club is the only federated club in the province of Leon and has recently taken over the organization of the Castilla y León Cup.
