Leon Goretzka makes Aston Villa debut in Champions League win

Leon Goretzka made his debut for Aston Villa during a Champions League match against Fenerbahce, which ended in a 6-0 victory for the English side. The former Bayern Munich midfielder entered the game as a substitute in the 83rd minute, replacing Ross Barkley.

Goretzka, who joined Aston Villa on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract in Munich, had previously faced delays in his integration due to knee problems. Following his brief appearance, the 31-year-old midfielder noted on social media that while the physical demands of returning to high-level competition have been frustrating, he intends to use the upcoming international break to recover fully and reach top form.
