Leon Slater discusses TNA and WWE partnership

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Leon Slater has praised the working relationship between TNA Wrestling and WWE, describing the partnership as “absolutely invaluable.” Speaking on The Extreme Channel, Slater noted that his time working in NXT provided essential exposure and lessons that contributed to his current success in TNA.

Slater addressed the perception of TNA as a mere stepping stone for talent, arguing instead that the collaboration allows for a mutual exchange of styles. He highlighted that while TNA talent can explore new styles in WWE, NXT talent also benefits from working with veteran wrestlers in TNA, such as Nic Nemeth and the Hardy Boyz.

Additionally, Slater shared how he discovered his involvement in WWE events, including John Cena’s retirement show, through unexpected scheduling updates from NXT travel staff.
