Leon Sloboda aims for consistency ahead of US Open

Slovak tennis talent Leon Sloboda, 17, is reflecting on a season of mixed results as he prepares for the US Open. The former Slovak Tennis Association junior player of the year has competed in several junior Grand Slam tournaments this year, reaching the third round of the Australian Open, while facing early exits at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Sloboda noted that mental challenges and a lack of match practice have impacted his performance in key moments during recent tournaments. Despite these setbacks, he expressed confidence in his recent hard work during training sessions. He also shared experiences from training near top ATP players, including Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, noting that Sinner praised one of his shots.
