Leonard Moore emerges as top 2027 NFL Draft cornerback prospect

Leonard Moore, a cornerback for Notre Dame, has emerged as a top prospect for the 2027 NFL Draft. Initial rankings place him as the premier cornerback in a highly competitive class, with some analysts suggesting he may be the second-best overall prospect behind Ohio State’s Jeremiah Smith.

Scouts have compared Moore’s blend of size and athleticism to Denver Broncos star Patrick Surtain II. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 197 pounds, Moore has demonstrated high-level performance, recording seven interceptions and 18 pass breakups during his first two seasons at Notre Dame.

Other notable cornerback prospects identified in early 2027 rankings include Zabien Brown of Alabama, Kelly Jones of Mississippi State, and Ellis Robinson IV of Georgia.
