Leonard Williams signs $90M extension with Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a three-year, $90 million contract extension with defensive tackle Leonard Williams. The deal, which includes $56 million in guarantees, secures the 32-year-old veteran through the end of the decade.

Williams, a three-time Pro Bowler, has been a cornerstone of the Seahawks' defense since being acquired via trade from the New York Giants in 2023. He earned second-team All-Pro honors last season, contributing significantly to the team's recent Super Bowl championship victory.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald described Williams as a ‘foundational player’ and an ‘absolute A-plus person’ and teammate. General manager John Schneider has also praised his impact on the team's culture. The extension follows similar recent deals for players Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon as the franchise seeks to maintain its competitive core.
