Leonard Williams nears return following ankle injury

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald provided an encouraging update regarding defensive lineman Leonard Williams following an ankle injury sustained during a 30-23 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Williams, who walked off the field with a limp in the fourth quarter of the previous game, has returned to the practice field. Macdonald stated on Wednesday that Williams is “doing good” and is expected to participate in practice in some capacity.

The team remains optimistic about Williams' availability for their upcoming NFC West matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Since being acquired from the New York Giants in 2023, Williams has been highly durable, missing only one game.
