Leonardo Aguilar addresses empty seats at Guadalajara concert

Singer Leonardo Aguilar has responded to criticism regarding empty seats during his recent performance at the Fiestas de Octubre in Guadalajara. The artist acknowledged that the Auditorio Jalisco had vacant seats during his set, noting that he used the situation to joke with the audience during the show.

Leonardo suggested that the low attendance may be a consequence of recent public controversies involving his sister, Ángela Aguilar, and her partner, Christian Nodal. He stated that while he was not the protagonist of those scandals, he has also faced significant online backlash, remarking, “I haven't done anyone any harm.”

His father, Pepe Aguilar, defended the young singer, asserting that a famous surname does not guarantee ticket sales or musical success. Pepe emphasized that artists must build their own careers through hard work, noting his own 38-year career and 37 albums as evidence that success is earned through performance rather than lineage.
