Leonardo Balerdi shines for Roma after missed Juventus transfer

Argentine defender Leonardo Balerdi has emerged as a standout performer for Roma following a dramatic 3-3 draw against Napoli. Balerdi, who joined the club during the summer transfer window from Olympique Marseille, scored two goals during the match, demonstrating significant physical presence and effectiveness in aerial duels.

His performance has highlighted a missed opportunity for Juventus. According to former striker Fabrizio Ravanelli, the Piedmontese club and coach Luciano Spalletti had expressed strong interest in the defender during the summer. Ravanelli noted that Balerdi's technical abilities and competitive character made him a highly regarded target for the Juventus staff before he ultimately signed with Roma.
