Leonardo Hotels expands German presence with four new acquisitions

Leonardo Hotels Central Europe has announced the simultaneous acquisition of four hotels in Germany, adding a total of 1,040 rooms to its portfolio. The expansion targets the corporate, leisure, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) sectors across Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Dortmund.

In Berlin, the company acquired two properties near Alexanderplatz, adding 624 rooms. These include the Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz by Leonardo Hotels, which features 336 rooms, a spa, and 13 meeting rooms, and the Leonardo Smart Berlin Alexanderplatz, a 288-room functional and family-oriented hotel.

In North Rhine-Westphalia, the group added two more properties. This includes the Leonardo Smart Düsseldorf, a 250-room hotel located near the central station, and the Leonardo Royal Dortmund, a 166-room hotel near the city's fairgrounds. The Dortmund property is scheduled for a comprehensive renovation next year. Yoram Biton, General Manager for Central Europe, stated that these acquisitions consolidate the group's presence in key German urban markets.
