Leonardo Jardim criticizes Maracanã pitch after Flamengo victory

Despite his complaints regarding the field, Jardim noted that the pitch conditions would not serve as an excuse for the team's performance, emphasizing that the squad must improve aspects such as passing and receiving regardless of the surface.

On a positive note, the coach praised forward Samuel Lino, who scored two goals in the match. Jardim jokingly remarked that Lino's successful season is due to the player's own development and daily work rather than coaching, adding that his main contribution has been “not to get in the way.”
