Leonardo launches Digital Horizon with Microsoft Italy for 50,000 staff
Leonardo announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft Italy to start the "Digital Horizon – A New Era of Collaboration" programme. The initiative will roll out the Microsoft 365 cloud suite and the generative AI Copilot assistant to roughly 50,000 Leonardo employees, aiming to modernise collaboration, reduce repetitive tasks and boost productivity.
The rollout includes Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Outlook and integrated AI support for content creation, analysis and synthesis. A comprehensive training programme, guidance tools and a network of "Digital Pioneers" will help staff adopt the new tools and develop prompting skills. Antonio Liotti, Leonardo’s Chief People & Organization Officer, said the project is intended to make work more connected, agile and innovative.
The programme reflects Leonardo’s broader digital transformation strategy, leveraging Microsoft’s cloud and AI technologies while emphasizing security, trust and a cultural shift toward collaborative, AI‑enhanced workflows.
