Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio criticizes EssilorLuxottica CEO

Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, a shareholder of EssilorLuxottica through Delfin, has criticized CEO Francesco Milleri during an interview on the Pulp Podcast. Del Vecchio addressed the company's recent stock market performance, suggesting that Milleri should be more concerned regarding the significant decline in the company's value.

Del Vecchio emphasized that as an administrator of a public company, Milleri has a responsibility to the market and all shareholders, not just the majority owners. He clarified that his criticisms are not personal but are based on the professional results and the reputational link to his family name.

During the same interview, Del Vecchio also touched upon broader social and economic issues, including the lack of systemic support for Italian entrepreneurship compared to France and his views on the diminishing value of specific academic credentials, such as a degree from Bocconi University.
