Leones de Yucatán announce new signings for baseball and softball

The Leones de Yucatán organization has announced key roster additions for upcoming seasons in both baseball and softball.

In baseball, the Leones de Yucatán have signed Mexican outfielder José Alejandro Cardona for the 2027 Mexican Baseball League season. Cardona, a versatile player capable of playing center, left, and right field, brings extensive experience from the Texas Rangers minor league system, including time with the Round Rock Express and Frisco RoughRiders. He has also played in the Mexican League for teams such as Bravos de León and Sultanes de Monterrey.

In softball, Grupo ARHE has introduced the Leonas de Yucatán, a new franchise entering the Mexican Softball League (LMS). The team's first official signing is pitcher Yeraldine Carrión. The 24-year-old Mexican national team player joins the roster following a successful 2024 season with Charros de Jalisco, where she led the league in ERA (1.43) and shutouts.
