Leonese wrestling sets three major championship dates for October 2026

The Leonese wrestling federation has announced the schedule for the three major special events to conclude the 2026 season. These competitions will take place on three consecutive Saturdays in October.

The Provincial Championship will be held on October 10 in Navatejera (Villaquilambre). This event marks the 82nd edition for the men's senior category and the 19th for the women's category. The schedule includes base categories starting at 11:30 and senior competitions beginning at 17:30.

On October 17, the Champion of Champions Trophy will take place in Boñar, starting at 17:00. This event features wrestlers who have secured at least one victory in an official competition during the 2026 season, including the Summer League or the Provincial Championship.

The season will conclude on October 24 in Puente Almuhey with the traditional Ribera vs. Montaña match. This final event will utilize the town's pavilion and serves as the traditional closing ceremony for the sporting year.
