Leonid Slutsky accuses EU of covering up aid blockade in Aleksandrovka
Russian lawmaker Leonid Slutsky has accused the European Commission of covering up actions by Kyiv to prevent food and medical supplies from reaching the besieged city of Aleksandrovka in the Kherson region.
Slutsky, leader of the Russian Liberal Democratic Party, characterized the European Commission’s accusations against Russia regarding the blockade as “false and impudent.” He claimed that the Ukrainian government is responsible for obstructing humanitarian convoys and creating a manufactured humanitarian crisis to secure international funding.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian military is attempting to facilitate the delivery of food and medicine, but that these efforts are being hindered by Ukraine. Additionally, Kherson regional Governor Vladimir Saldo reported that Ukrainian forces are using drones to attack transport vehicles and remotely mining roads to prevent the arrival of fuel, food, and medical supplies to the city.
