Leonor Freitas ranked second in Forbes Portugal business list

Leonor Freitas, CEO and shareholder of Casa Ermelinda Freitas, has secured second place in the Tourism, Hospitality, and Wine category of the Forbes Portugal annual ranking of the most powerful women in business. Scoring 64 points, Freitas follows Luisa Amorim in this specific sector.

Freitas, who took over management of the family business in the 1990s following her father's death, represents the fourth generation of leadership for the Palmela-based company. Under her direction, Casa Ermelinda Freitas has expanded its international presence, producing approximately 8 million bottles of wine annually from over 500 hectares of vineyards.
