Leopoldina-Krankenhaus parking garage construction remains on schedule

The construction of a new parking garage at Leopoldina-Krankenhaus in Schweinfurt is proceeding according to schedule and within the projected budget. The project is expected to open in December 2026.

The new facility will provide approximately 360 parking spaces, including 150 for patients and visitors and 210 for hospital employees. Once completed, the total number of parking spaces available at the health campus will reach nearly 750. The project includes ecological features such as a green roof, a photovoltaic system, and charging stations for electric vehicles.

The total cost is approximately 12 million euros, with the city of Schweinfurt contributing 5 million euros and the remainder being financed by the hospital. This new structure replaces a 1970s-era garage that was closed in July 2023 due to significant structural damage.
