Lepas brand to enter Brazilian market with affordable vehicle lineup

Lepas, a premium New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand under the Chery Group, is expanding its presence with a strategic focus on the Brazilian market. Managed by Omoda & Jaecoo, the brand aims to compete with established manufacturers like Fiat and Volkswagen by offering affordable entry-level vehicles and compact SUVs.

To suit local demands, Lepas plans to launch models equipped with flex-fuel engines, with potential hybrid-flex versions expected by 2027. The brand intends to release 11 global models over the next two years, prioritizing compact cars adapted to regional needs. To maintain competitive pricing, the company is evaluating local production options, including the possibility of utilizing the Jaguar Land Rover factory in Itatiaia, Rio de Janeiro.

The brand's identity, derived from the combination of ‘Leopard’ and ‘Passion,’ focuses on a design philosophy termed ‘Leopard Aesthetics’ and ‘Skyline’ interiors, blending high-end technology with elegance.
