Lepas debuts in Europe with SUV launch in Italy and UK

Lepas, a new electrified vehicle brand owned by the Chinese manufacturer Chery Auto, has officially launched in several European markets, including Italy and the United Kingdom.

In Italy, Lepas is debuting with the L8 PHEV plug-in hybrid SUV, which is priced from 41,700 euros. The brand has selected Italy as one of its first six European expansion markets, alongside Spain, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, and Romania. Approximately 1,500 units have already departed from the Chinese port of Wuhu for European distribution.

In the United Kingdom, the brand held a launch event in London showcasing three electrified SUV models. The L8 plug-in hybrid is the first to go on sale, followed by the mid-size L6 SUV (available in EV and plug-in hybrid versions) later this autumn, and the smaller L4 electric SUV by the end of the year. Chery plans to support the brand with a dedicated dealer network, retail finance, and leasing services. Lepas is positioned as a design-led, lifestyle-focused brand, distinct from Chery’s other export brands, Omoda and Jaecoo.
