The Lepas L6 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV from Chery Group's premium brand Lepas, underwent a 650-kilometer evaluation between Shanghai and Wuhu, China. The testing covered various driving conditions, including urban streets and highways, over a two-day period.

The vehicle features a combination of internal combustion and electric propulsion, independent suspension on all four wheels, driving assistance systems, and connectivity features. Evaluators noted consistent steering responses, a progressive hybrid system, and a suspension that balances comfort with body control.

Lepas, a brand name derived from the English words 'leap' and 'passion', was internationally introduced in April 2025. Its portfolio includes the L4, L6, and L8 models. The L6 PHEV is scheduled to enter the Brazilian market in 2027, where it will compete in an increasingly crowded segment of hybrid and electric SUVs from various Chinese manufacturers.
