Lepe conducts preventive stream cleaning ahead of autumn rains

The municipality of Lepe is conducting preventive cleaning of urban streams and watercourses to prepare for the arrival of autumn rains. Local authorities, including Mayor Adolfo Verano, are overseeing the maintenance of several key areas, including La Gaga, El Pilar, Las Moreras, Las Carreras, and Valle Porero.

The operations involve using heavy machinery to clear weeds, remove vegetation, and collect solid waste and accumulated sand from the channels. These efforts aim to optimize drainage capacity and prevent flooding. The city is also inspecting storm drains to ensure normal water flow during rainy periods.
