L’Eredità Summer drama on Rai1 sees new champion and uncertain future for professors

The summer edition of the Italian quiz show L’Eredità returned to Rai 1 on 5 August with host Marco Liorni, accompanied by the Professoresse Greta Zuccarello and Linda Pani. Contestants included a former champion, a developer, a teacher and a new father, among others. In the final round, contestant Emanuela reached the Ghigliottina with a starting prize of €190,000 but was tripped up by a single missing letter, allowing rival Veronica to win.

The preceding episode on 4 August featured Liorni’s silence on the future of the two Professoresse. Rai 1 announced open casting for new Professoresse, inviting women aged 22‑29 with clear diction, broad cultural knowledge and the ability to dance. This signals that Greta Zuccarello and Linda Pani may be replaced when the show returns in October.
