Lerma community protests over road conditions and security

Students and parents from the CETIS 23 technical school in Lerma, State of Mexico, organized protests to demand the rehabilitation of local infrastructure. Demonstrators blocked Avenida de las Partidas and sections of Paseo Tollocan, causing significant traffic congestion for commuters and cargo trucks heading toward Toluca.

The protesters cited severe road deterioration, specifically numerous potholes that have worsened due to recent rainfall. In addition to road repairs, the community is demanding improved public lighting, functional traffic signals, and increased police presence to ensure safety for students, workers, and local businesses in the Lerma Industrial Park area.
