Leroy Merlin store in Torre Annunziata targeted in attempted theft and assault

An attempted theft involving physical aggression occurred at a Leroy Merlin store in Torre Annunziata. Shortly before closing, an individual attempted to steal construction materials and furniture items without payment.

When the store's anti-theft alarms were triggered near the automated checkouts, a security guard from Pantera Security intervened to prevent the suspect's escape. The individual responded by physically assaulting the guard with slaps and punches. During the altercation, the suspect dropped the stolen goods and fled the premises.

Local police from the Torre Annunziata Police Station are investigating the incident. Authorities are currently reviewing internal and external surveillance footage to formally identify the individual responsible for the attempted robbery.
