Catalan municipalities host diverse cultural and traditional festivals

Various municipalities in Catalonia are hosting cultural festivals and traditional celebrations. In Tàrrega, the city is working to recover the spirit of its former September Major Festival through a wide range of cultural activities, including traditional games, music, and popular dinners organized by local associations.

In Olot, officials held a meeting to celebrate the Tures, a traditional name with roots dating back to the 14th century, emphasizing the importance of maintaining local identity. Meanwhile, Xerta is hosting the sixth edition of NEO Fest, an interdisciplinary festival designed to provide professional opportunities for emerging cultural talent in the Terres de l’Ebre region through music, fashion, and gastronomy.

Other regional events include the 15th Jota Festival of the Ribera d'Ebre in Darmós, which aims to preserve traditional dance, and the festivities in Les Borges Blanques, featuring a major gathering of giants, musicians, and fire-runs.
