Lesa inaugurates illuminated fountain on Lake Maggiore

The town of Lesa on Lake Maggiore has inaugurated a new permanent illuminated fountain. The water jet reaches heights between 17 and 20 meters and is designed to serve as a visual and symbolic landmark for both residents and visitors.

Funded almost entirely by local tourist tax revenues, the installation is part of a broader lake water management system that includes irrigation for the lakeside flowerbeds. The fountain will operate year-round, typically during lunchtime and from 6:00 PM to midnight, with reduced hours during winter months. In the evenings, the system features a 30-minute cycle of alternating colored lights.

Mayor Luca Bona described the fountain as a new iconic element intended to enhance the lakeside experience, noting that the community and tourists will be invited to suggest a name for the installation.
