Leskovac launches Stars&Sparks program for diaspora artists

The Leskovac Youth Office has launched a public call for the ‘Stars&Sparks’ program, which provides financial support through the reimbursement of travel expenses for successful citizens living abroad. The initiative is part of the city's preparations for its role as the National Capital of Culture of Serbia in 2026.

The program targets professionals in the fields of culture and art who were born in or have roots in Leskovac. By facilitating their return to present their work to local audiences, the city aims to strengthen ties with its diaspora, support young local talents, and enhance Leskovac's international cultural profile. The program name symbolizes the connection between ‘Stars’—established professionals abroad—and ‘Sparks’—the young talents within the city.
