Leskovac police operation leaves motives and charges unconfirmed

Three days after a major operation by the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP) in Leskovac, official information regarding the motives and specific charges remains unavailable. The arrests included a man linked to a prominent local cafe, a former member of the Foreign Legion from Vučje, and another man from Grdelica.

Unconfirmed reports circulating in the city suggest various motives, ranging from illegal arms trafficking to unverified claims of potential links to terrorism. Authorities have not yet confirmed the specific criminal acts or whether evidence was seized during the operation. Investigations are ongoing as the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the relevant prosecutor's office have yet to release a formal statement.
