Leslie Arias Sesma leads criminal lawyers in Baja California

Leslie Arias Sesma has been sworn in as the state delegate for the Colegio Nacional de Abogados Penalistas A. C. in Baja California. During her inauguration, she outlined an agenda focused on addressing challenges in justice administration, crime prevention, and the safety of legal professionals.

Arias Sesma highlighted significant delays in the integration and judicialization of investigation files. She noted that the Prosecutor's Office requires a larger budget for personnel hiring, strengthened forensic services, and better training for prosecutors to improve case resolutions.

Additionally, the new delegate emphasized the importance of crime prevention among adolescents and the need for social reintegration programs. She also announced that the legal community is working with the Federación Estatal de Colegios, Barras y Asociaciones de Abogados de Baja California (Fedabo) to develop a protection protocol for lawyers facing threats related to their professional practice.
