Lesquielles-Saint-Germain to hold new municipal elections

Residents of Lesquielles-Saint-Germain will return to the polls on September 13, 2026, following the annulment of the municipal elections held in March. The decision to cancel the previous vote was issued by the Administrative Court of Amiens on June 17.

Since the annulment, a special delegation appointed by the prefect has been managing the commune's daily operations to ensure the continuity of public services. This three-member independent body is authorized to handle routine matters such as civil status acts, emergency management, and current expenses, but is restricted from launching major projects or voting on new budgets.

Candidates for the upcoming election may submit their lists between August 24 and August 27.
