Lessinia Regional Park establishes new leadership and technical committee
The Lessinia Regional Natural Park has officially commenced the administration of its new board of directors, led by President Stefano Marcolini, the mayor of Roverè Veronese. During a session on October 21, the board unanimously approved the distribution of responsibilities among its five members.
Massimo Sauro, a former president of the park, has been appointed Vice President. He will oversee environment, ecology, tourism, sustainability, and wildlife management. President Marcolini will manage the budget, communication, general affairs, institutional relations, and heritage. Other board members will handle specific sectors including agriculture, forestry, personnel, culture, and public works.
Additionally, a new Technical Scientific Committee has been formed, consisting of nine professionals selected from forty candidates. The new administration aims to balance environmental protection with economic development for mountain communities. Key priorities include updating the environmental plan, managing budget variations, promoting tourism, and securing European funding, with a specific focus on supporting local livestock farmers.
