L’Estranea wins Midnight Madness award at Toronto Film Festival

The Italian film ‘L’Estranea’, written and directed by Paolo Strippoli, has achieved significant international recognition by winning the First Runner-Up position for the People’s Choice Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This marks an unprecedented achievement for an Italian film within this specific festival section.

Following its success in Venice and Toronto, the film is scheduled to continue its festival circuit at the Busan International Film Festival in the World Cinema competition section. A screening for the film has already sold out in less than an hour.

Scheduled for release around October 8, ‘L’Estranea’ is a giallo film featuring a cast that includes Jasmine Trinca, Adriano Giannini, and Romana Maggiora Vergano.
