Lesvos water infrastructure study announced for Petra and Mithymna
DEYA Lesvos has announced a tender for a study to modernize the water supply infrastructure in Petra and Mithymna, located in Western Lesvos. The study, estimated to cost €896,449.96 excluding VAT, aims to design a comprehensive upgrade to meet the needs of both permanent residents and the high seasonal demand driven by tourism.
The scope of the study includes the design of new internal and external water networks, new reservoirs, and two water treatment units—one for Mithymna and one for Petra. It also covers the necessary connection and support works for these facilities.
The 15-month contract is intended to establish the technical maturity required to secure funding for the subsequent construction phase. The final study will determine the exact technical interventions and the total budget required for the actual construction of the networks and treatment plants.
