Letícia Colin discusses reconciliation with husband Michel Melamed

Brazilian actress Letícia Colin has opened up about her decision to reconcile with her husband, poet and director Michel Melamed, following a period of separation. In an interview on the videocast ‘Conversa vai, conversa vem’, Colin described the time they spent living apart as a period of ‘unbearable pain’ where life felt ‘sad’ and disconnected.

The couple, who have been together since 2015, lived in separate homes for nearly two years before reuniting in early 2026. Colin noted that the separation provided necessary space for both individuals to understand each other's distinct professional and personal universes. She admitted to previously projecting expectations onto Melamed that were difficult to meet.

Additionally, Colin discussed the complexities of motherhood regarding their six-year-old son, Uri. She described her feelings toward him as a ‘violent love’ that brings a mix of exhaustion, passion, and intense emotion.
