Lete Hanuman Temple reopens in Prayagraj after 13-day flood closure

The Lete Hanuman Temple near the Sangam in Prayagraj has reopened to devotees after being closed for 13 days due to rising water levels in the Ganga River. The temple doors had been shut since August 30 when floodwaters reached the premises.

Following the receding water levels, the temple complex underwent thorough cleaning and washing. Religious rituals, including the ceremonial bathing (Abhishek) and floral decoration of the deity, were performed to prepare the shrine for visitors.

Mahant Balveer Giri led a grand Aarti accompanied by traditional drums and chants, marking the official reopening. The temple is a significant site of faith where Lord Hanuman is worshipped in a reclining posture.
