Leticia McKenna joins Nottingham Forest in record A-League transfer

Matildas midfielder Leticia McKenna has signed a two-year deal with Nottingham Forest in the English Women’s Super League 2, moving from Melbourne City. The transfer reportedly includes a fee close to $200,000, setting a new outbound record for the A-League Women.

McKenna departs Melbourne City after five seasons, during which she made 114 appearances and helped the club secure three Premierships and a domestic double last season. She is currently second on the club’s all-time women’s appearances list.

The 24-year-old international made her debut for the Matildas in April, scoring against Malawi. Nottingham Forest head coach Tom Mallinson expressed excitement about her arrival, noting her ability to make an immediate impact in the midfield.
