Letizia Battaglia exhibition opens at CAMERA in Turin

The exhibition ‘Letizia Battaglia. L’opera, 1970-2020’ is currently on display at CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia in Turin, running until February 7, 2027. The showcase features over two hundred photographs documenting the life and work of the photographer, spanning five decades.

The collection includes famous reportage on the mafia, religious festivals, and intimate glimpses of daily life in Sicily and Palermo. The works capture various facets of the region, from the dignity of its people to the complexities of psychiatric hospitals and collective celebrations.

Following successful showings in Tours, Arles, and Forlì, this exhibition is accompanied by a published catalogue, archival magazines, and two documentary films detailing Battaglia’s professional and human journey.
