Letizia Moratti presents new autobiography in Lecce

Letizia Moratti presented her new book, ‘L’importanza di credere nei sogni’ (The Importance of Believing in Dreams), at the former Agostiniani Convent in Lecce. Published by Solferino, the volume serves as an autobiography that weaves together personal memories and her extensive career in public institutions.

During the event, which featured a dialogue with Lecce Mayor Adriana Poli Bortone, Moratti reflected on key milestones, including her tenure as the first female mayor of Milan, her presidency of Rai, and her work in the European Parliament. The book also covers her connection to the San Patrignano community and the collaborative efforts involved in Milan’s candidacy for Expo.

Moratti emphasized the necessity of resilience and collective effort, noting that while life presents difficult moments, one must rise again with the help of others. Additionally, she addressed contemporary social needs, advocating for educational reforms that include financial, environmental, and technological literacy.
