LeuWebb Projects manages public art for Calgary’s Scotia Place

LeuWebb Projects and Heavy are managing the development of public art for Scotia Place, a new sports and entertainment venue in Calgary, Alberta. The project aims to integrate four new artworks into the facility's exterior plazas and gathering areas to reflect local identity and culture.

Guided by the Scotia Place Project Committee and an Indigenous Advisory Committee—including members from Treaty 7 Nations, the Métis Nation of Alberta, and Calgary’s urban Indigenous community—the initiative includes two Indigenous artworks. The project also features a mentorship program for emerging local artists in collaboration with Calgary Arts Development. The facility is expected to open in 2027.
