L’EVA launches new cultural projects to promote oral tradition

The cultural organization L’EVA, En Veu Alta, is entering a new phase following the conclusion of the Festival EVA al Penedès in 2025. After two decades and more than 1,400 performances, the entity is shifting its focus toward more stable, territory-wide projects centered on oral tradition, reading, and heritage.

A central component of this new stage is ‘La Capelleta de l’EVA’, an itinerant artistic piece designed by Marta Peribáñez. Inspired by traditional home-visit chapels but reimagined through a contemporary, secular lens, the project will travel through various Catalan municipalities. Each community will host the installation for approximately two months, hosting localized workshops, readings, and celebrations.

The project is scheduled to begin its journey this October, starting in Segarra with the Segamots Festival, followed by Pallars Sobirà. Additionally, the EvaLudens educational project is expanding to 18 schools in the Alt and Baix Penedès regions, reaching approximately 1,180 students to promote oral storytelling and reading through the Catalan language.
