Levadiakos signs Slovakian international defender Norbert Gyömbér
Levadiakos has announced the signing of experienced Slovakian central defender Norbert Gyömbér to strengthen their defensive line. The 34-year-old joins the club as a free agent following his departure from the Saudi Arabian side Al-Khaleej, where he made 33 appearances last season.
Gyömbér brings significant international and European experience to the team, having earned 55 caps for the Slovakian national team, including appearances in the Euro 2016 and Euro 2024 tournaments. His professional career includes 114 appearances in Italy's Serie A, having played for clubs such as AS Roma, Bari, Salernitana, Catania, and Perugia, as well as stints in Serie B and the Russian league with Terek Grozny.
The move comes as Levadiakos seeks to improve its position in the Stoiximan Super League after a difficult start to the season.
