Levante discusses childhood depression and the loss of her father

During an appearance on the program Verissimo, singer Levante shared details regarding her struggle with undiagnosed childhood depression. She reflected on the profound impact of her father's death in 1996, which occurred when she was nine years old.

Levante described her father as a strong pillar of the family and noted that his passing caused her world to collapse. She also spoke about her mother, who was 38 at the time, and how she worked to obtain her diploma and find employment to support the four children after her husband's death. The family eventually moved away from Sicily to seek a new life.
