Level-5 confirms Yo-kai Watch 2 remake for PS5 and PC

Level-5 has confirmed that the upcoming remake, ‘Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain’, will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, expanding its availability beyond the initially announced Nintendo Switch 2.

The project is described as a complete remake rather than a simple high-resolution remaster. It will build upon the foundation of the ‘Psychic Specters’ edition, incorporating elements from all three previous versions: ‘Bony Spirits’, ‘Fleshy Souls’, and ‘Psychic Specters’.

According to Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, the remake aims to preserve the essence of the original while providing entirely new technical capabilities, updated graphics, additional narrative content, and new Yo-kai characters. While a specific release date has not been announced, the title is intended to leverage modern hardware to offer a significantly enhanced experience.
