Level-5 delays Decapolice to 2027 for PS5, PC, and Switch 2

Level-5 has announced that its investigative role-playing game, Decapolice, has been delayed from 2026 to 2027. The title is confirmed for release on PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

CEO Akihiro Hino detailed the game's unique 'Decaism' system, which allows players to virtually reconstruct crime scenes within a digital copy of a city to gather evidence. Players will use a 'Case Board' to connect clues and testimonies. The gameplay aims to integrate investigation, reasoning, arrests, and combat, featuring a dynamic structure rather than traditional puzzle-only adventures. To enhance the investigative experience, Level-5 is collaborating with SCRAP, a Japanese company specializing in escape rooms.

While a specific release date has not been provided, the game is expected to be playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
