Levi Dempsey Killed in Greene County UTV Crash, Family Fundraiser Raises $102,000

On July 31, a utility‑terrain vehicle (UTV) overturned in Greene County, New York, killing 12‑year‑old Levi Dempsey and critically injuring his 10‑year‑old brother Cade. Both boys were air‑lifted to Albany Medical Center; Levi was pronounced dead while Cade remains in the pediatric intensive‑care unit.

The brothers were sons of Pastor Ryan Dempsey of Mitchell Hollow Mission Church in Windham. The local community created an online fundraiser that has collected more than $102,000 to help cover funeral costs, medical expenses, travel, housing, meals and other unexpected needs. The church also shared grief‑support resources with families in the nearby school district.
