Levica disputes Sasho Mijalkov’s denials over Barutana business ties
The political party Levica has challenged a denial by Sasho Mijalkov regarding his alleged business connections to land in Barutana. While Mijalkov claims he has no property registered in his name in the area, Levica argues that the issue concerns a web of interconnected companies and business relationships rather than direct ownership.
According to investigations, the company ‘Energo Maksistem’, which holds plots in Barutana, was previously linked to the spouse of Ljupcho Todorovski-Radnik, a former high-ranking police official and associate of Mijalkov. This company later purchased land near Bogorodica that had been previously confiscated from Mijalkov. Furthermore, Levica points out that in 2024, a company owned by Mijalkov’s son purchased apartments and a garage in Vodno that were formerly confiscated from his father in the ‘Imperia’ case.
The controversy also involves the urban planning process led by the Municipality of Centar under Mayor Goran Gerasimovski. Levica alleges that private interests are directly influencing urban development, noting that the investor ‘Lutariko’ is initiating and financing the creation of the Detailed Urban Plan (DUP) to determine the future use of the land.
