Levski fan ban sparks controversy ahead of Champions League qualifier

UEFA barred Bulgarian supporters from attending Universitatea Craiova's home match after prior incidents in which Levski fans were accused of chanting discriminatory remarks. Fans attempted to purchase tickets in the host stadium’s sections, but the club blocked the effort. Universitatea director Pavel Badea defended the decision, stating it follows UEFA orders and aims to prevent stadium disruptions.

Separately, Iliyana Raeva, president of the Bulgarian Gymnastics Federation, criticised a DIEMA commentator’s vague reaction during the match, calling the broadcast “absurd”. Both incidents highlight tensions surrounding Levski’s participation in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
