Levski Sofia implements new Board of Directors structure

Levski Sofia has announced a major restructuring of its management model, transitioning from a two-tier system of Supervisory and Management Boards to a single-tier Board of Directors. The new structure aims to increase accountability and accelerate decision-making processes.

The new Board of Directors includes several high-profile figures: current Executive Director Daniel Borimirov, former Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar, financial expert Claudio Prachkov, investment specialist Felipe Berliner, and Gemcorp Capital's financial director Matthew Cherry.

Legendary striker and former majority owner Nasko Sirakov has accepted the role of Honorary President with an advisory voice. Sirakov expressed optimism regarding the new leadership, stating that the club is entering a positive era.

New Board member Claudio Prachkov emphasized a focus on sustainable growth through investments in technology, management, and talent recruitment, with the goal of competing in the Europa League annually. Edu Gaspar also highlighted plans to modernize scouting processes and support the coaching staff to drive competitive success.
