Levski Sofia faces Super Cup loss and new UEFA mandates
Levski Sofia sports director Georgi Kostadinov addressed the team's performance following their 2-4 loss to CSKA Sofia in the Bulgarian Super Cup final. Despite leading 1-0 at halftime, the team conceded four goals in the second half. Kostadinov noted that this level of performance fluctuation is unprecedented under manager Julio Velazquez, though he denied that the squad underestimated their opponents.
Separately, Levski Sofia has issued a notice to fans regarding new UEFA directives for upcoming Europa League matches. To comply with European regulations and avoid fines, the club stated that every person entering the Vasil Levski Stadium must possess a valid ticket, regardless of age. Security checkpoints will be established to verify tickets and prevent unauthorized entry, ensuring compliance with capacity limits and safety protocols.
